Street Fighter V Champion Edition is the most gorgeous version of SFV. Until the next one ? Well, we'll see...

Street Fighter V was one of the biggest disappointments at its launch but over the past four years has evolved into one of the best fighting games of this generation. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is the definitive version of Street Fighter V (for now). With the exception of the increased roster, the additional content beyond Arcade Edition is largely cosmetic, so this may not be a necessary upgrade people who are satisfied with the their current roster and don’t care about costumes and stages. For everyone else this is the version of Street Fighter V to get. Between the top-notch fighting mechanics and fan service there are countless hours of entertainment to be found in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.

If you’re looking for a solid 1v1 fighting game, you really can’t go wrong with Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, there truly is a ton of value here. Just be forewarned that the online experience is severely lacking.

When the last punch gets thrown, Street Fighter V Champion Edition isn't a perfect KO. What's here really should have been the baseline launch quality way back in 2016. That said, if you've been standing back on the sidelines of this fight up until now (possibly as you awkwardly punch the air in a looped animation), know that you can confidently leap in and experience a damned good street fight.

For my money it probably doesn’t best SF4 – there’s something special about the way that game moves even if it is now ugly as sin in comparison to its successor – but Street Fighter 5 is easily one of the best fighting games of this generation, perhaps only bested by the dark horse that is Xbox’s Killer Instinct.

Despite having four years of updates behind it, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is far from the definitive version of the game. Though the core fighting engine powering this title is sound, its poor netcode and lack of polish stick out like a sore thumb.

From an incredibly mediocre and messy release, Street Fighter 5 has transformed over time into a game that is worthy of the franchise name.

This release is perfect for people wanting to jump in and have access to everything the game has to offer and still has more free improvements to come, such as a netcode fix and a tournament mode in the near future. This is absolutely the best SFV has ever been.

Just to start the game for the first time you get attacked by at least 50 pop up information. When you finally start playing you recognize the awful graphics and that you only can play with 16 characters and more than 20 are locked in dlc. Why is this called the champion edition? This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am supported SFV all the time and bought all Season1, Season2, Season3. just left Season4 haven't been collected. This Champion Edition contained all Season contents and always on sales with the price even lower than just a Season4 DLC.
I have been waiting for more than 8 months, but Season4 never have sales and the prices of a season is always higher than the complete set Champion Edition.
This is very not fair to us. This is how Capcom treated all time SFV supporters like us.
